Southport Spit/Seaways Cafe/Hummer/Smiley Face

We visited our dear friend Joe in Gold Coast Hospital, good to see he still has his wonderful sense of humour & great fortitude in his battle with lung cancer. From here we went to the Southport Spit Seaway Cafe for some lunch....on the way back to Coolangatta we spotted this hummer....thought yeh we'll have that luxury for the day.....then saw smiley face, who obviously had other ideas....like wishful thinking you two.....ah well nice thoughts.....ended the evening with dinner at the Coolangatta Hotel. Home tomorrow! Another holiday down...waiting for the next one in May to Darwin.

Fish & chips by the Tweed River at Chinderah

We went on a nostalgic drive today through the quaint little town of Tumbulgum, down through the Salt Estate and Casurina Beach on our way past Johnny's old abode at Kingscliff. Checked out the River's Clearance Store at Tweed Heads, you'll never guess nothing for me but came out with a shirt for Graham!

Mt Tamborine Skywalk

We went to Mt. Tamborine Skywalk today with all of our special memories. The cantilever has you thinking you are drunk with it's movement, quite an experience! From here we drove to North Tamborine to Clancy's Irish Bar & Restaurant for lunch accompanied by lovely irish music. Nice place to partake in some would/could of been, only visited very briefly by both of us!
